READY TO BELIEVE - Obama Campaign Song - pka, Yes We Can

It's clear that more and more Americans are "Ready to Believe" and we dedicate this song to them. We believe it captures the spirit of hope and change that the Obama campaign represents at the same time it takes aim at those lame attacks from the other side.

Here's a little background on how this song came to be. Incredibly, on the day that the current "You Tube" sensation "Yes We Can" was released, we were in a mixing studio putting in the final changes on our song, which we were also calling "Yes We Can." We decided to change the title to avoid confusion, and now it's known as "Ready to Believe," a title which, the longer we sit with it, the more appropriate it feels.

"Ready to Believe" is composed and sung by Cherish Alexander, lyrics by Jackie Zabel and Bryce Zabel, and produced by Damian Valentine and Cherish Alexander. At the time they wrote the lyrics, just days before the California primary, Bryce & Jackie were striking screenwriters. Cherish is a popular and established alt.rocker in the LA scene with a powerful voice and a passion to make the world a better place. Bryce and Cherish had worked together previously when, as executive producer of the TV series, "The Crow: Stairway to Heaven," he collaborated with Cherish to create some original music for multiple episodes.

You can download a crystal-clear pure MP3 of "Ready to Believe" at (http://www.cherishalexander.com) and you can also download a clean PDF of the lyrics.

Please enjoy "Ready to Believe" and help the world hear it at this important and critical time. If you have friends in Wisconsin, Hawaii, Texas, Ohio, Pennsylvania and all the other states about to vote, please send it to them now.

READY TO BELIEVE

I'm ready to believe
No more people who deceive
It's his time to take the stage
It's our time to turn the page
I don't want to be feeling sad
I don't want to be feeling bad
Give us one good man
Who says yes
Yes we can

They say he must wait his turn
They say too much to learn
They say he should stand in line
It's their plan, not mine

CHORUS (I'm ready to believe...)

They say it's a fairy tale
They say rolling dice can only fail
They say it will fall apart
He alone speaks from my heart

CHORUS
CHORUS

Can we see the future and not the past?
Yes we can
Can we come together and make a change?
Yes we can
Can we really believe again?
Yes we can

We say, now is the time
We say, this is the plan
We say, it takes one good man

Yes we can
