Description
They say when you're dying that your entire life flashes through your mind. Since I've been ill, I've been revisiting alot of my past through old videos of various television appearances I've done as well as my video diaries. I thought I would share them with you so that you could get to know more about me and hopefully we could get to know each other better.
These clips are from my days with P.M. Magazine Television show which was syndicated nationally back in 1980. I had developed "The Coupon Queen" series, which I'll explain more about later.... and then morphed those segments in to general consumer reporting. I specialized in teaching people how to save money.... Today they call it Frugal Living :-) I was "discovered" if you wish to say fresh out of high school with this concept and immediately started working both behind and in front of the camera. I wrote, produced and appeared in the segments and as I said earlier, they were seen nationally by 120 different cities with a viewing audience of roughly 60 million people. Basically I was just a kid, 20 years old and had no idea of really how lucky I was. Don't get me wrong, I worked very hard, but I didn't realize that what happened in my life was one of those once in a lifetime, one in a million shots at a career in television. Anyway, as I lay here with my trusty little laptop, I thought you might find it interesting to visit part of my life "growing up" in the television industry. I'm continuing to sort through all of my videos. I can't wait to find my "Coupon Queen" videos. I think you'll laugh your "buttocks" off...(sigh) weren't the 70's and 80's just great? I can't believe that I'm going to turn 47 on March 19th....Watching these videos seems like just yesterday and at the same time a "lifetime" ago.
I'd love to hear what you think :-)Thanks for watching! Don't forget to comment, rate and of course subscribe so that we can stay in touch. Communicating with "ya'll" means the world to me, it truly does and I appreciate it more than you'll ever know.
God bless.
